Union Clock Co., Furtwangen (Badenia) Germany Started as a clock case milling and assembly plant by August Weisser, 1882, in partnership with Josef Villing & Rudolf Fehrenbach. Changed as clock making enterprise in 12/06/1894. Fehrenbach terminated his partnership. Villing and Trenkle formed a new registration. Merzbach, Lang and Fellheimer of London, England became new owners and relocated the company for better transportation accessing the River Donau. The company continued to manufactured all types of clocks 1910 the company was in receivership. Machinery and material were purchased by Jaekle of Schwenningen. The factory building fell victim to the wrecking ball in 1924. Trade marks were - 1. Large figure 8 with the top of the eight larger than the bottom. With Union Clock Company printed around the inside of the top portion of the eight and a horn (large end down) with a clock on the either side. 2. Circle inside a circle, between the two circles appears "UCC" 7 times around it and a large "U" in the inner circle and a "C" passing through each side of the "U". 3. Same as 2 but with "UUU" replacing "UCC" in outer circle and "U"'s replacing "C" in inner circle. Registered Motto - Wart Und Hor - Wait and Hear, Wait and See.
