Sidele, Salomon and Sohne MFC Furtwangen, Blacks Forest, Germany. Since the end of the 18 century the Siedle clan operated in the area of Neukirch in the Black Forest a foundry for clock bells and brass clock gears. Foundry was sold in 1869. During the same year S. Siedle & Sons joined a group of businessmen in Furtwangen. The partnership was short lived. Siedle & Son's now manufactured all kinds of clock parts for the trade. In 1885 S. Siedle & Sons formed a new production line, battery energized low voltage operated clocks were added. The fast advancing industrialization, railroad, telegraph, & telephone demanded dependable time control systems. The manufacturing of clocks parts for the trade ended in 1890 and the Siedle & Sons produced "Electric Homeclocks, needing never to be winded". The slogan, helped secured a large market share. German Patent # was 79,300. They manufactured and marketed all type of low voltage apparatus, such as central time control and telephone systems. Company changed names in 1986 to Electrontechnically Factory. Trade marks were "SSS" (Siedle, Salomon & Son) and Siedle, Salomon & Sohne.
