Jonas G. Hall, Montpelier, Vermont, 1850-1870 Millwood Park, Roxbury, Vermont, 1870-1890 Jonas Hall was born in 1822 in Calais, Vermont. he opened a shop in Montpelier where he sold watches, jewelry, silverware, and fancy goods. While at this location, he produced more than 60 full plate, lever style watches. Hall, later established a business in Roxbury, where he manufactured watch staking tools and other watchmaking tools. At Roxbury, he made at least one watch which was a three-quarter plate model. He also produced a few chronometers, about 20 size with a fusee and detent escapement and a wind indicator on the dial. Hall was employed by the American Waltham Watch Co. for a short time and helped design the first lady's model. He also worked for Tremont Watch Co., E. Howard & Co. and the United States Watch Co. of Marion, NJ.
