Gruen Watch Case company produced "Curvex" cases and regular cases for Gruen in karat gold and after 1924, gold filled. I.D. Case Co. - New York City. - Cased generic Swiss movements. Active in the middle third of the 20th century. Illinois Watch Case Co., Elgin, Illinois. - Made cased for Elgin. Jacques Depollier & Son - New York City. - Cased Waltham movements in 1918. Katz & Ogush - New York City. - Made many lady's wristwatch cases in 14k gold, 18k gold and platinum. Keystone Watch Case Co. - Philadelphia. - Manufactured cases for Waltham and Illinois. Major Watch Case Co., New York. Schwab & Wuispard Case Co. (S&W). - Made many cases for Hamilton including Electric series and also made cases for Elgin. Star Case Co. - Ludington, Michigan. - Star was the last major case company operating in the country, going out of business in 1985. It made cases for Hamilton, lower priced Gruen cases and cases for Elgin. Wadsworth Case Co. - Cincinnati, Ohio. - Made most of the gold filled and some "Curvex" cases for Gruen, as well as cased for Hamilton, Longines, and Wittnauer. Principal maker for Elgin.
